ITEI denounces policy of negation of torture in Bolivia

ANF / La Paz

The Therapeutic Institute Against Torture (ITEI) in its report “Torture in Bolivia?” maintains that there is no strategy against this crime in Bolivia and in fact there is a policy of negation of torture, althuogh the State promised to fight against it with the ratification of itnernational treaties. 12 April 1999 Bolivia signed and ratified the UN Convention Against Torture and 23 May 2006 ratified the convention’s Optional Protocol.

From Humiliation to Complaint

Evo Morales Ayma, ambulances for their communities. The book is multidisciplinary in nature, given the historical context, takes an anthropological analysis of this racism, the significance of burning Whipala and ponchos, shows the psychological intervention, psychotherapy, medical and legal level and the aftermath psychosocial individually and collectively, and publishes the testimonies of people affected.

The repression of the “March for Survival”

The book contextualizes the development of walking as part of the contradictions of the neoliberal system showing increased state violence “democracy” by force to impose measures such as the privatization of social security, to the detriment of the interests of the majority.

Climate change is an issue that concerns us all and deserves attention. Even just by acting on an individual basis we can succeed in reducing its enormous affects on humanity and our country. Members of the Norwegian Students’ and Academics’ International Assitance Fund (SAIH): the Centre for the Integral Development of the Aymaran Woman, CDIMA, the National Federation of Domestic Women Workers,FENATRAHOB, the Centre for Studies and Support of Local Development, CEADL, the Foundation for Education in the Context of Multilingualism and Pluriculturality, (FUNPROEIB ANDES), the Institute of Therapy and Investigation of the consequences of torture and state violence, ITEI, the Academic Union of Rural Peoples of Pucarani, Batallas and Tihuanaco and the Escoma Centre of Higher Training in Intercultural Education and Bilinguilism, CEFOS EIB-ESCOMA, present a collection of environmental contributions they have developed during their work.
